party ever! Not only will Michael be attending, but he will
also be making a speech about his new charity, "Heal

This
one-of-a-kind coat was made for Michael Jackson. Black synthetic
material with two full-length tails that wrap around the legs.
The left arm has a gold embroidered design filled with silver
lamé. The back has a similar design, with a floral pattern
and crown. The number "7" is embroidered in silver in the
center. Interior lining is black silk. Closes in front from
the collar to below the waist with two strips of velcro. Interior
label reads "Dennis Tompkins - Michael Bush". Michael Jackson
wore this coat to the Monaco Music Awards 2000.
Michael Jackson has made a very generous gesture by donating
a private and personal 'birthday phonecall' to the lucky designated
recipient. This auction item is priceless, and the call will
be made within the week of the designated person's birthday.
For more information, please read news bit dated January 19,
2001.
A personal note: The coat looks very much like the one
Michael Jackson was wearing to the Dame Elizabeth Taylor event
- and not to the World Music Awards.

17, 2001: Dame Elizabeth On Friendship With Michael |
|
|
On
January 15, 2001 - 9:00 p.m. ET, Michael
Jackson's friend Dame Elizabeth Taylor talked
to CNN's "Larry King Live" about her
friendship to The King Of Pop:
KING: The friendship with Michael Jackson.
TAYLOR: Yes? |
|
|
|
|
KING:
What? How did that begin? You mean you seem on different planes.
TAYLOR: No! Why do you say that?
KING: You just seem on different planes. He's a very shy..
TAYLOR: No. We were both child stars.
KING: OK.
TAYLOR: We had no childhood, either one of us. We were brought
up by tutors. We had no children of our own age to play with
or relate to. We were performing the whole time. He was on
the stage; I was on the...
KING: The screen.
TAYLOR: ... the soundstage. We would go home. I, in my case,
I would learn my lines, learn my homework, get up early in
the morning. I would go out to the polo field, where they
had 40 jumps set up, and to get some of my steam off as a
little girl I would take 40 jumps before I would go into work.
KING: And he had the same kind of life, in a sense. He had
to get up and take the bus to wherever they went to the next
concert or...
TAYLOR: Yes and get his steam off dancing.
KING: But we don't -- we know you. Look at you. We don't know
Michael, do we?
TAYLOR: No.
KING: What don't we know about him we should know?
TAYLOR: He's so tender. He is so compassionate. He hurts,
literally pains for other people's suffering. If there is
-- like -- the starvation of children in this country, in
India, in Africa...
KING: He feels it. It's not just a...
TAYLOR: He reaches out. I've been to the Orient with him.
And he says: "Roll down the window! Roll down the window!"
He reaches his hands out and just touches a baby's face. Oh,
you beautiful thing, and he just wants to give that baby everything,
his life. He'd give him all his money if he could, and the
car keeps on moving. And he'll turn back: "Oh, look at
that baby."

14, 2001: Four Re-Issues With Bonus Material |
|
The following
has been taken from MJNI:
MJ News International has more information for you on
the imminent re-release of Michael Jackson’s back-catalogue.
This year, and ideally to coincide with the release
of the new album [currently slated for 23-24 April 2001],
Sony Music will re-issue the Off the Wall,
Thriller, Bad and Dangerous albums.
Each of these re-releases will be remastered
and will include bonus material. This bonus
material will consist of a mixture of new tracks and
remixes. In most cases, there will be around two
bonus tracks per album but Dangerous will be released
as a TWO CD set, with one CD entirely dedicated to the
bonus material. This is due to the fact that the Dangerous
album utilizes all the regularly available space on
a CD.
With thanks to Nation Jam Productions.
Planet
Jackson's release dates for the re-issues
so far:
February 12, 2001 [Europe] - "HIStory - Greatest
Hits - Volume I"
February

11, 2001: Dr Dre Says No... |
|
The following
has been taken from Dotmusic:
Hip hop hero Dr Dre has turned down the opportunity
of working with Michael Jackson, because he
says the star doesn't need his help, dotmusic can
report.
When asked if it was true that he said no to The King
of Pop, the producer responded: "Somebody approached
me about working with Michael Jackson and I did say
no because I like working with new artists."
"I can develop them from the ground up. There's no
standard that I have to live up to or anything like
that. All I have to do is go in the studio and they're
basically going to bust their ass to come in there and
do their thing the way it's supposed to be done."

09, 2001: A1 Write For Michael Jackson |
|
The following
article has been taken from Dotmusic:
Just as the King of Pop is set to make a return,
bands all over the globe are queuing up to work with
him and these include the chart-topping boy band A1.
The pop foursome have written some songs that they are
hoping will be featured on Michael Jackson's new album,
which is set to surface sometime this spring.
Apparently Jackson has listened to the two tracks,
which Christian and Ben have written with the legendary
songwriter Ray Ruffin, and is yet to make a decision.
Ben's song is entitled "That Kind Of Lover"
and Christian's offering is a mid-tempo ballad.
The
later said of his track: "I couldn't believe
it when I found out Michael Jackson was listening
to the song. He's been my hero since I was a kid!
It's a dream come true. These things don't happen
in real life."

feat. a statement on their website by Rodney Jerkins
speaking about what it has been like for him working

Jerkins: "Oh, it's incredible. I mean, you work with
so many artists that are trying to get to his level,
and I'm working with the person that's actually him,
you know, who's been around for years. I've learned

really learned how to withstand this, you know? And
